Picnic!!! |
Diana with ice sculpture trees. |
My sister, Ardell, had even slipped a little present in my suitcase:) A "JOY" Christmas ornament - very appropriate:)
My first white Christmas |
Diana and I, true to form, ate way more than we should have but everything was so festive and the other guests very friendly. It was a good time and a nice Christmas celebration.
The standard greeting in Ireland is "Happy Christmas" rather than the US "Merry Christmas". Good wishes were wished to all:)
Fabulous pics! Looks like a wonderful time! Glad you finally got to enjoy a white Christmas!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing your Dublin adventures! I loved seeing the new-to-me Samuel Becket Bridge and missed the Book of Kells due to it's being restored but did go have a drink at Tailor's hall :) I was there Dec 28-Jan 1, winter-time: that's how I see it when I think of Dublin.
ReplyDeleteI just finished reading all about your trip, and it sounds WONDERFUL. Not only THAT, but after your tour of Guiness AND Jameson Whiskey, you're probably qualified (if not over-qualified) to be a bartender. :o)
ReplyDeleteIt's nice to hear they still refer to "CHRISTMAS" there, as opposed to "HOLIDAY" here (one of my pet peeves, by the way). :o)
Love,
Annette
