Bruschetta |
Happy Valentine's Day to my family and friends. Yesterday after church I drove to Huntsville to have dinner with Janet and Nick. Nick was the chef and fixed bruschetta and baked chicken parmesan! It was delicious.

Janet and I weren't totally worthless. I brought a bottle of wine and Janet and I went and picked up dessert while Nick was busy in the kitchen.
After dinner we watched "Toy Story". If you can believe it, I had never seen any of the "Toy Story" films so it was way past time. It was a fun show.

This was good! |

Since we had wine, I spent the night and headed back to Franklin this morning. (after Nick fixed breakfast). On the way I made a few stops. First up was "Sirs Fabric" in Fayetteville, TN. This is about half-way between Franklin and Huntsville so I finally took the time to stop and look around. May I say "once was enough". The town square was cute and I looked at a couple other shops while I was there.

My next stop was at Cathy's to see her progress on my quilt and to drop off a quilt top that Barbara had pieced. She made this for her daughter, Amy. I love all the bright colors. My quilt looks wonderful!!! I can't believe it is almost finished. Cathy was going to let me do a little of the quilting but I chickened out and did it in the margin that will be cut off.

I can't wait to see that quilt finished.
I knew a fabric store west in Jackson, and another in Memphis
Dinner looks yummy. Maybe you'll have a quilt for guild Show'n'Tell in March? It's a beautiful quilt and I can't wait to see the quilting. You inspired me to start a new quilt this month. :-D
How exciting to have your quilt almost done! I found a quilt top in my stash cleanup. Not sure what it's fate will be. No love for Sir?
I agree with Rhonda...you are surrounded with so many friends and family. You truly attract friends....That is so wonderful. Glad you are in church....YOU are awesome. Sounds like you had a FABULOUS Valentine's Day....so happy for you...
Hugs
Girl, I continue to live vicariously through you so keep up the good work! And a job at a fabric store, what could be better. Great shirt, too. Hugs friend, Linda
What a nice way to spend Valentines! I love the quilt pics. I can't believe you chickened out on quilting some of your quilt (a part that wouldn't be cut off!).... so funny. I am sure you would have done a beautiful job on it. It is so obvious your friends and family love you so much. I enjoy getting a peek into your exciting life. I am also curious how much you will owe the quilting shop for fabric that needed a new home! Much love, ~Christa :-)
