Weekend Wandering

Lavender in Bloom
When I first got off the ferry, my plans were to take the ferry and go to Victoria, BC and have tea at the Empress.  But, it was the weekend and the ferry was booked.  I hadn't even thought about that happening.  I ended up having an enjoyable day driving through small towns, looking at some shops, having lunch and going to the Lavender Wind Farm.  The lavender was in full bloom and looked like a sea of purple.  There was a maze made of lavender plants to wander through and a view of Puget Sound.  Peaceful!

Lavender

The rest of the weekend was spent in Seattle catching up on various chores.  My car needed an oil change and I needed some summer clothes since I have been warned repeatedly about the heat.

For those of you who have asked about Doug and Leigh Anne's trip, they are in Thailand now.  They have followed in my footsteps and are blogging so family and friends can keep up with them.  I'm sure they'd love it if you stopped by and said "hi".  Their site is:  Its An Amazing Life

Janet loved her "blog giveaway".  We decided there will be one more!  Since Doug/LA and Sarah have been involved with the first two, I am going to let Janet draw the final winner when I am in Nashville.  I'll post for the sign up soon.  There are some goodies from the lavender farm already.  Seattle is "coffee town'.  Okay - no more hints:)  Watch for details!!

That looks fabulous, how good does it smell?
It really does look like the lavender on farmville.
