BLOG GIVEAWAY #2

My time in Alaska is coming to an end so it is time for another blog giveaway!  No chocolate in this one since it would melt but there is smoked salmon, salmon jerky, and a few other tasty things plus some other little goodies from my travels.

To enter the drawing post your name in the comments section (email me if you can't get it to post) by noon on Sunday.  If you have a story to share, Sarah and I are listening:)   (Peggy K?????)  Everyone is eligible that lives in the U.S.  but Sarah.  Good luck!!!  Winner takes all.  Sarah will draw the winner Sunday afternoon and I will mail the box on Monday.

Update on my plans:  I am leaving on the ferry for Bellingham on Tuesday, August 3rd.  I have to be at the ferry terminal at 2:00 a.m.   So do I try to sleep a few hours or try to stay awake????  I'll arrive in Bellingham on Friday and am meeting a friend in Seattle on Sunday.  After three days in Seattle, I'll start heading back towards Houston but will make several stops along the way.  When I get back to Houston, my brother Walter and I will head for Nashville in his RV.  We have an appointment with a Realtor to find me a rental home.  Exciting times!!!

Peggy, I have a great idea for you...just let me win everything and you don't have to mail it, just bring it back with you and hand it over when we have dinner!!! I think that's a great idea!

Please be careful on your drive back. I can't wait to talk with you about it. You have had such a wonderful, once in a lifetime experience! You make the old saying, "When life hands you lemons...juggle!" have more meaning! Hurry back!

Years ago in the Sugarland era, one day I was babysitting the little Lionberger kids. We were all sitting on the floor in a circle. I asked Sarah - what is your brother's name? She replied "his name is Duckless".

Peggy, have a safe return trip. Please continue this blog. Your posts make my day!

So sorry to hear the your AK stay is almost over, but you are far from the end of your adventure! I can't wait to see you back in Houston though.

I commented yesterday, but it has disappeared! Glad I checked back! Seems like your stay in Alaska went by so quickly! Have safe travels from there!

Just reading about Alaska has made our horrible summer heat a little more bearable. Could you please bring some of that nice cool weather back with you to Houston? Can't wait to see you when we get together for dinner with the "girls"!!

Have fun on your trip back. I have enjoyed all your pictures and stories. I wouldn't mind seeing some Nashville pictures when you get there. Talk to you soon.

Ohmigosh! I can't access this blog at work and when I'm home I just can't get on the computer. She's gone from Alaska but shouldn't she be blogging by now??!! From her posting, it also sounds like she and her bro are heading east almost immediately. I can't believe she'd give up a few free dinners. If anyone is arranging a night out for Peggy "with the girls" would you mind including me (lclark459@verizon.net). That might be the only way I get to spend time with with her. As with the rest of you, I believe it's been a fun-filled journey for all of us. And Sarah, it was nice getting to know you too! Thanks Peg!!! Linda
