Blog GIVEAWAY!!!!!

I am having my first blog GIVEAWAY!!!!  Since I left Texas, I have been picking up souvenir type items for a blog giveaway.  Since my time in California is rapidly coming to an end, I thought now would be a good time for the first giveaway.

Rules are below but I hope I have lots of entries - I know there are some lurkers out there!!  Besides if no one enters my feelings will be hurt:)

Rules are:

1.  One Entry Per Person (all you have to do is make a comment)
2.  Must live in the United States (sorry Rhonda:)
3.  Everyone is eligible - except for Doug and Leigh Anne.  If I eliminated the rest of my family, the entries would really be scarce:)
4.  Post a comment by Sunday, May 23rd at noon, Pacific time.
5.  Most items are in the picture.
6.  Doug and Leigh Anne will pick the winning entry on Sunday evening - winner gets it ALL!!
7.  Goodies will be sent Monday morning so check early so I can get your address!!!

p.s.  There is CHOCOLATE!
p.s.s.  We'll put all the names of commenters  in a basket and they'll draw one so don't be intimidated by these creative types - but I like the creative entries so far so keep it up:)

This is my official entry.

Dear Doug,

You don't remember me, but I certainly remember you! I am a good friend of your Mom's and a former neighbor from the Sugarland days.

One time my family & I visited your family at your Grandmother's place on the coast. You were just a baby. When I was holding you once you spit up all over me and I did not get upset at all. But I thought to myself, one day Doug will want to repay me for this.

Now is your opportunity. Any gift will be fine. Thanks! (p.s., your Mom has my address). Oh, and many congrats on your recent law degree. That's terrific!

Put me in for the chocolate, and some of that wine if you have any to spare.
It sounds like you are starting to pack up, how much longer before you hit the road again?

I am disqualifying myself, since I will be there tomorrow!
Looking forward to seeing you, Dough, and Leigh Ann!

I remember Peggy K :)....Hi there Peggy...and that is a very original kind of entry if I do say so myself :) My entry is, "ME ME ME ME ME!" Who broke your arm? Who almost let a rattlesnake bite your face? Who rode with you all day in a car when you had a significant unmentionable problem? Who provided a 50 foot screen so you could watch your man Michael Jordan in a playoff game? I could go on but I rest my case :) Oh yeah...love you lots!

Chocolate? I am IN!

um...hope you're not evaluating based on the length of the comment. Antidisestablishmentarianism. Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious. There, that should help.

I am liking this so far . . .

Hey, Peggy. I have been thinking about you a lot lately...telling everyone about your adventure. Of course, chocolate is always a good motivator. Here is my official entry.

Dear Doug, I'm sure you have really enjoyed having your Mom there, but I bet you will be glad to see her go on to Alaska! Don't know if you know (or really care), but I met your Mom when we were about 9 years old. Her and Betty and I got to know each other, mainly because the teacher had us sit alphabetically (Billier (Betty), Bowman (me), Chance). We have been friends ever since, even when we lost touch for a while. I can still remember that VW she had and we would have to scrounge up loose change for gas (yes, it was around .25 a gallon back then!). Can't say that I can give you any good stories...she was a "perfect angel" back then. Yeah, right! Anyway, give her a big hug for me. Peggy, stay safe and have fun!

Ghiradelli chocolate? Winning this would be the next best thing to actually being in SF! Congratulations, Doug!

Doug, congrats on the law degree! Your mom is one of my favorite sewing friends from PR. I know you and Leigh Anne have enjoyed her so much.

Peggy,
You know I love chocolate, remember when we took the Chocolate dessert cooking class at CM? We were so sick of chocolate by the end of the class we had to take half the goodies home with us. Never fear, chocolate is my friend again so I would love to be selected as the winner of your giveaway.

Congrats to Doug for his law degree!!!

OH MY, what a wonderful array of goodies you have there! I've never heard of a BLOG GIVEAWAY -- ha! -- but it's a great idea. :o) HOWEVER, you most certainly don't need to enter my name in the contest, as you have given me SO MUCH already, from my personalized pillow and pillowcases to water bottles, writing pens, to mention just a few, all wrapped up in prayers and encouragement. So ... I'm REMOVING myself from the competition, AND THAT'S NOT EASY, considering there's C-H-O-C-O-L-A-T-E to be had. I can't wait to see who the lucky winners are. :o)

Love,
Annette

I am the friend who, for 2 years way back in the mid-80's, did so much together with you! Car pools, roller skating with the kids, the pool and swimming lessons - in fact, we met for the first time at the pool! And all those walks we took! What fun we had!

How's that for my entry? :-)

Don't forget the sister who is taking care of your elderly cats! I can't believe it's already time to move on to Alaska. Congrats to Doug on his law degree. I'm sure LA is glad it's over with too. I miss our lunches and trips to the farmer's market and the library. I was thinking since I can't go to Florida right now, how about I come to visit you in Tennesee???

It has been one fantastic experience after another. There is joy in every post on your blog. THANK YOU for letting us tag along!
